The Mark Benevolent Fund provides more support for the St. John's Ambulance Service at the Annual Meeting
The Annual General Meeting is always well attended by hundreds of Mark Masons and there is always a possibility of someone taking poorly or suffering an injury. To ensure the safety and immediate first aid attention, we are always supported by personnel from St. John's Ambulance Service who are ready to spring into action at the first sign of necessity. Thankfully, the officers are rarely called upon for their services but it is always reassuring to know that they are there in case they are needed.
To show our gratitude for their attendance at the Mark Annual Meeting on June 26th, a cheque for £100 was presented to 2 of the 3 St John Ambulance personnel on duty for the event.
In addition, and further to a promise made at the handing over of the new Treatment Centre by the Mark Benevolent Fund 2 years ago, a cheque for £500 was presented to assist with its running costs.
The cheques were presented by the Chairman of the Durham Mark Benevolent Fund, David Hanson, accompanied by its Treasurer, Roy Neville.
