Not everything is quiet during the summer recess and for those who couldn't wait a few more weeks, Staindrop Mark was ready to welcome them to this picturesque village next to Raby Castle.
The village of Staindrop on a lovely summers evening is a wonderful destination for any Mark Master Mason. Monday the 5th August 2019 the Staindrop Lodge of Mark Master Masons No.1274 were gathered in the Masonic Hall situated on the village green, ready to welcome all the brethren who had made the journey to take part in an excellent masonic meeting. The Worshipful Master, M.P. Lambird was particularly delighted to acknowledge the presence of no less than eight Mark Grand Lodge Officers and he gave them and all his visiting brethren a very warm welcome to the lodge.
During the meeting the brethren were delighted to congratulate Thomas Neil Hugill, on his appointment at the Mark AGM, to an active rank as Grand Junior Overseer. A great honour for him and the Staindrop Mark Lodge.
An excellent festive board followed and afterwards the brethren set off for home with the last remnants of daylight on this summers evening illuminating the beautiful village green.
